RACE EVENT RULES AND PENALTIES
Penalties will be issued for any unsafe act and/or one that poses a direct impact on a race or race result. A breach in any of the following rules may result in an initial warning, a 5 place penalty or disqualification from the race and/or event.
1. Saving or intentionally blocking a start gate is prohibited. A warning will be given to the rider in the first instance, second offence will result in disqualification from the race.
2. Preparation of the start gate is not permitted track side. A warning will be given to the rider in the first instance, second offence will result in disqualification from the race.
3. Course cutting is prohibited and may result in disqualification from the event. If riders are forced to leave the track, they must re-enter at the same point or as close as safely possible. Competitor will receive a disqualification from the race.
4. No outside assistance is permitted on the circuit unless it’s required to do so by an official or parent/helper during the race for fallen riders.
5. Motor sizes and capacities must be in line with the correct class. Machines may be spot checked without warning. Rider will receive a disqualification from the championship if deemed to be riding the incorrect machine.
6. Only 1 machine can be used per race, once under starters orders, bikes cannot be changed. (Starters orders commence when the Green Flag has been raised) The competitor will receive disqualification from the race.
7. If a problem occurs during the start, the competitor/helper must raise their hand before or during the green flag signal. A maximum of 2 minutes will be provided to rectify the problem.
8. If a competitor is not present in the start gate area when the race is under starters orders, they will not be eligible to join the race. (It is advised that riders are in the holding area at least 10 minutes before their race)
9. Riders must observe the flag signals and act appropriately. If a rider jumps or gains an advantage during a waved YELLOW flag signal and or fails to stop safely on a RED flag, they will be subject to further action. It is the rider’s responsibility to be aware of all flags and their meanings. Competitor will receive a 5 place race penalty if deemed dangerous. Second offence will result in disqualification from the race.
10. All riders must cross the finish line unaided to receive a result. The competitor may receive disqualification from the race.
11. Hired transponders that are not returned or are deemed to be lost will result in a charge of £350 to the rider.
