At EMX Sparks we make sure your electric motocross experience is a reliable and safe experience. 

All bookings are subject to availability and are only confirmed by email with a QR code once full payment has been received.  

All bookings are non-refundable but you will be allowed to reschedule in extreme circumstances if at least 7 days notice is given. This is at the discretion of EMX Spark. No dogs are allowed on site.

1. Booking and Payment

1.1 Agreement: By booking an EMX Sparks motocross event, you agree to adhere to these Terms and Conditions, the Consent and Safety & Risk Declaration form, and the EMX Rules, Regulations, and Etiquette. These documents, combined with your completed online booking form, constitute the entire agreement between you (the “Customer” or “Participant”) and EMX. “Facilities” include race tracks, spectator areas, and any other amenities provided for the event.

1.2 Group Bookings: If you’re booking for a group, “you” includes all members. As the organizer, it’s your responsibility to ensure each group member has read and agrees to these terms.

1.3 Booking Confirmation and Special Privileges: To secure your participation, complete the online booking form and make full payment. Registered Riders: As a valued participant, you have the privilege to book at a discounted rate and can make bookings up to 7 days before the event. This privilege is a token of our appreciation for your ongoing support and participation in the EMX Sparks motocross series. Payments can be made using debit or credit card, ensuring accessibility for all participants. Wild Card Entries: After the privileged booking period closes, entries will be open for wild card applicants until 24hrs before the event, subject to availability. This allows new riders a chance to participate and brings fresh talent to the series but will not be counted towards championship points.

1.4 Refunds and Changes: Once confirmed by EMX, bookings are non-refundable except under specific conditions (e.g., event cancellation by EMX). Please contact our support team for details on modifying bookings.

1.5 Health and Safety: Participation requires signing a Medical Consent Form. Should the medical condition of any participant change, promptly inform EMX through [specified contact method]. Forms and additional documents are accessible in various formats upon request to accommodate all participants.

Race Transponders and Licensing:

All competitors will need a race transponder for timing and scoring purposes. We have a limited number available for hire and purchase on our website. Please ensure you secure a transponder well in advance of your race to avoid any inconvenience on race day.

The race series is sanctioned by NORA92, and all riders are required to hold a full race license, available for £25 annually. Alternatively, a day licence can be acquired for £8.00 per round, suitable for those not competing in the entire series as wild card entries.

2. CANCELLATIONS BY US  

Event Operations: EMX is committed to running all scheduled activities for the EMX Sparks British Masters race series. However, the safety and well-being of our participants and staff are paramount. Therefore, EMX reserves the right to suspend or cancel events at any time without prior notice due to adverse conditions, dangerous weather forecasts, or any circumstances beyond our control that could pose unmanageable risks.

2.1 Rescheduling and Refunds for Race Day Events:

In the event a race day is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances such as adverse weather conditions, safety concerns, or factors beyond our control, EMX is committed to ensuring the best possible outcome for all participants.

Alternative Race Date: Our primary goal is to reschedule the affected race to a new date. Participants will have the option to transfer their registration to this new date at no additional cost. We will communicate the rescheduled date and any necessary details as promptly as possible, considering availability and the overall race series calendar.

Refunds: Recognising that not all participants may be able to attend a rescheduled event or participate in alternative offerings, EMX will also consider issuing refunds. The amount and form of such refunds will be determined based on the extent of the event’s cancellation and any costs already incurred. Refunds will be processed in a manner that seeks to be fair and reasonable, taking into account each participant’s situation.

2.2 Booking Cancellations by EMX: EMX reserves the right to cancel any bookings that have not been confirmed (paid in full) at least one week prior to the scheduled activity start date. This policy is in place to ensure that all participants have equal opportunity to join our events and to manage our scheduling effectively.

2.3 Compensation for Partial Race Day Participation:

In the event that a race day is cancelled or suspended after it has officially started, EMX acknowledges the effort and commitment participants have already made. Our approach to compensation in such scenarios takes into account the extent of race day activities completed prior to the cancellation.

Completed Blocks of Racing: If one or more blocks of racing have been completed before the event’s cancellation, these races will be considered valid and will count towards the final series results. Under these circumstances, no refunds will be issued, reflecting the resources and planning invested to facilitate these completed portions of the event.

EMX is dedicated to ensuring fairness and transparency in these decisions, recognising the importance of every race within the EMX Sparks series. We commit to communicating any decisions regarding compensation or race results with clarity and in a timely manner to all affected participants.

3. CANCELLATION BY YOU  

3.1 Change of Plans: We understand that plans can change. If you find yourself needing to cancel your booking for the EMX Sparks electric motocross or balance bike race series, we offer the following cancellation policy to accommodate your needs.

3.2 Cancellation Notification – Full Refund: Should you decide to cancel your booking 7 days or more before your scheduled race date, you are entitled to a full refund. We aim to process and return your payment within 14 days of receiving your cancellation request, ensuring a smooth and worry-free process.

3.3 Late Cancellation – No Refund: If your cancellation request is received 7 days or less before your scheduled race date, please be aware that we cannot offer a refund. This policy helps us manage our event planning and logistics effectively, ensuring the best possible experience for all participants.

Safety and Conduct

Safety Briefing: Prior to racing, our experienced race staff will provide a comprehensive safety briefing. This ensures that all riders are well-informed about our safety protocols and the code of conduct necessary for a safe and enjoyable racing experience.

Indemnity Agreement: Riders and their guardians must agree to indemnify and hold harmless the landowners, organisers, and MT3 Events Limited, along with any authorised personnel. This agreement is essential for maintaining a safe and responsible racing environment.

Pit Area Conduct: To ensure safety for everyone, riding in the pits is strictly prohibited. All participants must push their electric motocross bikes or balance bikes from their vehicle to the track. Failure to comply with this rule will result in being asked to leave the event without a refund.

Health Declaration: All riders, or their guardians in the case of minors, must declare that they are physically and mentally fit to participate in electric motocross and balance bike racing. This declaration is crucial for the safety and well-being of all participants.

No Dogs Policy: To ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees, dogs are not permitted on the event site.

All riders must wear as a minimum:

Safety Equipment and Attire for EMX Sparks British Master Race Series

For the safety and protection of all riders participating in the EMX Sparks British Master race series, adherence to the following attire and safety gear requirements is mandatory:

General Attire for Electric Balance Bike Riders:

Long trousers, race pants, or jeans.

Long-sleeved tops to provide full coverage.

Closed shoes are required, with ankle boots recommended. However, trainers are acceptable as the minimum requirement.

A full-face helmet is mandatory for all riders, ensuring maximum protection.

One adult is permitted to sign on and go trackside to assist the rider.

Specific Class Requirements and Safety Gear:

E Mini Class (e.g., MX Oset 10, Torrot, etc.): Suitable for machines with a maximum output of 1600W. Participants must wear a full motocross kit, including motocross (MX) boots, a helmet, body armour, gloves, and goggles. One adult is permitted to sign on and go trackside to assist the rider.

E2 Auto & E3 Auto Classes (e.g., Gas Gas MC-E 3, KTM SX-E3, etc.): Participants must wear a full motocross kit as described above. One adult is permitted to sign on and go trackside to assist the rider.

E5 Auto Class (e.g., Gas Gas MC-E 5, KTM SX-E5, etc.): Full motocross kit requirements apply. One adult is permitted to sign on and go trackside to assist the rider.

E65 Junior MX Class: Full motocross kit requirements apply. One adult is permitted to sign on and go trackside to assist the rider.

Additional Safety Gear for All Classes:

An ACU-stamped, properly fitted safety helmet to ensure head protection.

Goggles for eye protection.

Boots and gloves to protect feet and hands.

Clothing that fully covers arms and legs, providing additional protection against abrasions.

Chest and back protection to safeguard against impacts.

Please note, tear-offs are not allowed to maintain track cleanliness and safety.

Acknowledgment of Risk: All riders must recognise and accept the inherent risks associated with motorsports. Participants are encouraged only to attempt features and obstacles that are suitable for their level of ability to ensure a safe racing experience.

By adhering to these safety equipment and attire guidelines, participants help ensure a safer environment for everyone involved in the EMX Sparks British Master race series.

Riders need to inform EMX of any previous or current medical conditions by completing a medical questionnaire. e.g Lung or heart conditions, breathing or learning difficulties which may have an impact your safety and that of others. If you are unsure, please speak to the race director.

Motocross Racing Flag Rules

Green Flag: Indicates the start of the race or that the track is clear. Racing is under starters orders 15 second board will be shown followed by 5 and gates will drop any time after 5 seconds

Yellow Flag: Signifies caution. There has been a crash or danger on the track. Riders must slow down, not overtake other riders in the area of concern, and be prepared to stop if necessary. No jumping is allowed in the section where the yellow flag is being waved.

Red Flag: The race has been stopped. This could be due to a serious accident or hazardous conditions on the track that require immediate attention. Riders must carefully stop away from any blind spots and follow the marshal’s instructions to return to the starting line or designated area.

Black Flag: Directed at an individual rider, indicating they are disqualified or need to immediately exit the track for consultation. This can be due to rule violations, unsafe riding, or technical issues with the bike.

Yellow and diagonal black cross : Indicates the final lap of the race. When riders see this flag, they are on their last circuit of the track.

Checkered Flag: Signals the end of the race. The first rider to cross the finish line after the checkered flag has been displayed is declared the winner.

Red Cross Flag: Indicates that medical personnel are attending to an incident on the track. Riders must proceed with caution, with no passing or jumping permitted until they are past the incident scene.

General Rules:

Flags must be respected at all times. Failure to comply with flag rules may result in penalties, including disqualification.

Riders should familiarize themselves with all flag meanings and obey them promptly to ensure the safety of all participants and officials.

in case of any confusion or uncertainty regarding flag signals during a race, riders should seek clarification from race officials at the earliest opportunity.

Adherence to these flag rules is crucial for the safety and fairness of motocross racing. They ensure that all riders have a clear understanding of the current conditions on the track, allowing for a competitive and safe racing environment.

Accessing the tracks:

Enter only via the track entrance, one bike at a time having obeyed signals from a marshal, who will check for correct wrist band for race, helmet fastened, and correct clothing.

Exiting the circuit:

Only leave the circuit at the exit point.

12.5″ OSET (AGE 3-4)

E-MINI MX CLASS (AGE 4-7)

E2 MX AUTO CLASS (AGE 4-6)

E3 MX AUTO CLASS (AGE 4-6)

E5 MX AUTO CLASS (AGE 5-8)

E65 MX JUNIOR CLASS (AGE 7-11)

PW 50 SUPPORT CLASS (AGE 4-7)

Groups may be combined for racing but will be scored separately. Each group will participate in six blocks of racing throughout the weekend, including a 10-minute practice/qualifying session on Saturday and two laps of practice on Sunday.

Fees and Licensing:

Championship Registration is £50. Race Fees are £85 for registered riders and £95 for Wild Card entries, with booking exclusively through the online entry system on the EMX Sparks website .Registered riders are guaranteed a space on the start line up to 7 days before an event. Any spaces 7 days prior to an event will be offered to wild card riders. As a registered rider it is your duty to ensure you are booked in at least 7 days before an event or you lose your space on the start line. All riders must obtain a full Nora Race License for £25 annually Annual NORA Licence – 2024 – NORA Motorsport (nora92.com) Select EMX Sparks from the drop down menu for licencing club or a day licence for £8 per event, available to book on EMX Sparks.

Equipment and Marshals:

Mylaps Transponders are required for all riders and are available for hire or purchase on the EMX Sparks website. While no marshals are needed to participate, volunteers looking to join our team of marshals are welcome to contact us via the website’s contact page.

Qualifying and Race Times:

Timed practice sessions will determine riders’ placements in either A or B groups, influencing gate picks. Race times may be adjusted to accommodate delays, with each class’s race lengths detailed in the scheduling.

Awards and Trophies:

Trophy boards for the top 10 in each class per event day will be awarded, and all competitors will receive awards. Championship leaders will receive a red plate for the next round. Championship Trophies will be awarded to the top 10 in all classes. Competing in four rounds is necessary for championship eligibility, with adjustments made for any lost rounds.

Points System:

Points are awarded based on finishing positions, from 45 points for 1st place 42 points for 2nd 39 for 3rd 36 for 4th 33 for 5th 30 for 6th 27 for 7th 25 for 8th 23 for 9th 21 for 10th 20 for 11th and scaling down to 1 point. Did not start and did not finish score 0 points. Ties are resolved based on the most recent race result, for championship ties, most number of 1st places, most number of 2nd places etc.

Stopping on the circuit:

Only stop in case of mechanical breakdown or a signal to do so from a marshal. If forced to stop on the circuit or run-off area, park as safely as possible (far from the track and preferably behind a barrier)

Please Remember:

Place used oil in waste oil tank.

Put all litter in skips or bins provided.

No bikes in spectator area.

No passengers on bikes.

Children must be supervised at all times.
